Study of Numerical Analysis for Conductive System Using Finite Difference Algorithms for Simple One Dimensional Heat-Conduction Problems With Constant Thermal Diffusivities

Abstrak

Heat moves by conduction, convection, radiation and advection. Beneath the earth’s internal structure, heat transfer majorly by convection and conduction process. Within geothermal reservoir, heat transferred from magma to a permeable rocks system called bedrock. It’s heat energy then absorbed by water from aquifer system which located above the bedrock. There, not only conductive process but also convective occur. This heat conductive transfer is one of important process which establish the geothermal reservoir system. Most of problems involving heat and mass transfer are reducible to the solution of partial differential equation. To solve the differential equation that govern real physical process are generally very complicated. Therefore an approximate condition in simplest cases is very useful. To solve the differential equation on a computer, a problem must be formulated numerically in terms of some suitable arithmetic operations. Heat-Conduction Problems within geothermal reservoir can be formulated numerically.
