Description :

The main focus of the workshop will be on solving inverse problems in mathematical physics.
In this workshop, the problem will be solved with a standard procedure. First, a special differential equations formulation will be made, then it will be converted into the integral equations. The problems arises, because the solution is not well defined according to Hadamard.

In the theoritical aspect, the integral operator has a nice property, that is a compact operator which can be approximated by a finite rank operators. Unfortunately, in numerical aspect, the equation which is involved the compact operator is not so easy to handle, because the inverse operator is unbounded. Therefore they have no solution or many solutions. We need to find an approximate solution. All of this we will discuss on the first sessions. In the second sessions, we will explore the available toolboxes for solving many inverse problems. This session will be a hands-on session, therefore the participants are recommended to bring their laptops. In the third sessions, there will be a presentation and discussions on solving some systems of equations with ill conditions by considering them in dynamical systems point of view.

A fee of Rp 350,000 will be charged for each participant of the workshop with special rate for students (Rp 200.000,00). The registration fee can be paid on the registration desk.
